Going into college, I didn't realize how difficult it actually was to live with somebody. To be accountable for someone other than myself came with its challenges, yes, but it was also the most rewarding thing. As you become accustomed to it, you realize that you love living with someone else and sharing a life with someone who isn't your significant other or relative. Somebody who can do no wrong in your eyes, can stay up late with you, and is always there when you get home.
And for this, roomie, I am forever grateful. Love you lots and lots.
So, here are the ABC's of the most common things I say to my roommate:
"Are you going to this?"
"Because if you're not, I'm not."
"Can you do our laundry this week?"
"Do you know where (insert article of clothing) is?"
"Eventful night last night?"
"Found your school ID card in my wallet this morning. How did it get there?"
"Get it together. Come on, I'm serious."
"Have fun, be safe."
"I want to get so drunk tonight that I don't care what I look like."
"Just text him. It's fine."
"Kid in my statistics class. Cute. Football. Get a name."
"Let's become strippers. I'm broke."
"Make your bed. Honestly, and take out the trash once in a while."
"Nap later?"
"Okay, yeah. He's cute now that I see him in person."
"Please call me and say it's an emergency."
“Quick. What should I say to this?"
"Roomie, chug!"
"Skip class. Let's get breakfast."
"Take a shot with me."
"Ugh. You didn't even finish it. Take another one with me."
"Very funny.. wait did you actually?"
"When are you done with class?"
"X. He's an ex for a reason."
"You wanna make a Mega Bed?"
