When Aaron Rodgers isn’t busy winning awards on the field, he is busy raising millions of dollars for numerous charities.

Aaron Rodgers, quarterback and number 12 for the Green Bay Packers, has been called one of the greatest players to ever play the game.

Rodgers is a four-time Pro Bowl player (2009, 2011, 2012, 2014), Super Bowl MVP and Champion (2011), two-time NFL MVP (2011, 2014), two-time NFC offensive player of the year (2011, 2014), two-time FedEx Air NFL Player of the Year (2010, 2014), and he also received the Bart Starr Award (2014). He became the first quarterback to throw for more than 4,000 yards in each of his first two seasons as a starter for the Packers, He has been ranked no less than fifth in the NFL passing yards and touchdowns since 2008. He also became only the fourth quarterback in NFL history to throw for 300 yards and three touchdowns in a Super Bowl. And I am sure I am missing a few more.

So far this season, 2015, Aaron Rodgers has thrown for 2,270 yards, 21 touchdowns, a rating of 103.4, and only three interceptions through week nine.

What Aaron Rodgers has accomplished on the field is absolutely remarkable; however, what he has accomplished off the field is what should be more published.

He has partnered with Raise Hope for Congo, he is an activist for the Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer (MACC) fund, he is involved with Young Life and the Make-A-Wish foundation and he has also partnered with David Gruber to create itsAaron.com — a website dedicated to building awareness for organizations and people who are making a difference in their communities.

He also attends multiple charity events including Jordy Nelson’s (#87 for the Green Bay Packers) charity softball game. Aaron continues this outreach by inviting dozens of children with life-threatening medical conditions to come watch practice and meet him and the rest of the team.

In an interview with jsonline.com, Aaron was asked how we wanted to leave his legacy, he responded with, “Being a well-rounded player has always been important to me, being a guy who's doing the right stuff in the community and representing the team the right way. That's what I try to pass on to the young guys — how important it is when you leave this place, to uphold the legacy of the guys who played here before and realize when you're out and about you're representing the Green Bay Packers. That's a privilege and that's a special privilege. And then on the field, it's about consistency. It's always been my approach every single day in trying to be a leader and trying to be as great as I can be. I strive to be a great player and a good leader and go out there every day and be as consistent as possible and let my play do the talking.”

He is the perfect type of role model to, not just people in professional athletics, but to people all over. Rodgers is a stand-up guy on and off the field, and his off-field work deserves to be more recognized.

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
