When I was younger people always told me that one day I'd be thankful to have a sister or that eventually we will actually like each other. I never believed these people, because we were so different. We fought like our lives depended on it and the teasing was constant. Your senior year I couldn't even wait for you to graduate and go off to college. The ironic thing about all of this, is some time in the past few years, you actually became one of my favorite people.
When I needed to get out of our hometown you let me come stay with you. You introduced me to your friends which are some of the most accepting people I have ever met. My first year of college was rough, but you were always there to help me when I needed it. You are the only person I would hang 500 feet above the ocean for or ride a jet ski in the middle of the ocean with. You are the most adventurous, genuine, and compassionate person I have ever met. You are also determined and passionate and I cannot wait to see how that correlates to your dream job.
All I can say is thank you. Thank you for loving me when I didn't love myself. Thank you for constantly believing in me and supporting me. Thank you for defending me and always being down to go eat. Thank you for making my first year of college easier and pushing me outside of my comfort zone. Thank you for being the best big sister I could've ever asked for. I will always be proud to be your baby sister.
I love you to the moon and back.
