A Thank You Letter to my Boyfriend's Mother.

To start off, thank you. You raised that sport loving and nonstop moving kid, and you did a dang good job doing so too. I have heard of some crazy childhood stories from him, with that makes you a true saint. After saying that though, you raised such a kind, strong, and honestly emotional kid. He is a wonderful man.

He won't tell this to you to your face but he always tells me how thankful he is for what you have done for him while raising him. I want to thank you for creating my best friend. Someone I am able to share a ton of my memories with. You have definitely raised a son who respects women and knows how to take responsibility of mistakes. It truly makes sense when they tell you to watch how your boyfriend treats his mother. Knowing his endless love for his family and friends, and especially you says it all.

Thank you for always including me in family functions, and letting me make memories with your family. I truly feel lucky, especially being an only child. There really is nothing I value more than the time and memories I get with family and friends, and I am thankful you invite me to know yours.

The most important part is, I have to thank you for trusting me with your oldest son. I know he was your first baby when you decided to start a family, which is beyond special. I know he is very precious and has such a selfless heart and I make sure every day to protect that. I will do everything I possibly can to make him happy. This means more than you can imagine, that you trust me to take care of him when you aren't there, I will never break your trust.

The second most important thing for me is thanking you for accepting me for who I am. I grew up in a whole other part of the United States, therefore I never even remotely grew up the same way. You have never wished I looked or acted like another girl. You simply love and care for me and that's all I could ever ask. We are all so different and I am grateful I ended up meeting your amazing family.

Even after a year plus with your son I still am able to learn the most interesting things about him. I am thankful you have been so loving and accepting of me. I really couldn't be more thankful.

This may seem a little scrambled up but my brain gets that way when I try to even possibly put into a letter of how much you have done for me. It's all so much and even the little things are so important that you do, so I promise my scattered thoughts are all with good intentions and not meant to bombard you. I just want to get the idea across to you that you are important and special to me and everything you do does not go unnoticed. I really don't think you get enough credit for all you do for everyone. You are always on the move, and there when anyone ever needs you. You are definitely a super mom.

Sincerely,

Your Son's Girlfriend

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.

Oh college, we can’t live with you, but we can’t live without you. It’s a love/hate relationship, really. College is an experience that no one can ever prepare you for, and maybe that’s a good thing. You never really expect any of the things that college encompasses until you are there. College is fun, but don’t have too much fun. C’s get degrees, but they don’t get you into graduate school.

Blair Waldorf

The "Gossip Girl" series may be over, but Blair Waldorf's iconic character lives in our hearts forever. Blair was the queen of the Upper East Side, and a character you either loved or hated. She taught us everything we needed to know about life, love and of course, how to score a Chuck Bass. So the next time you feel a bit lost and are in need of guidance, look no further than to the Queen B herself.

As I spend my Sunday avoiding my homework and other adult responsibilities, I realized that I've watched this series over and over about a million times. Sadly, there isn't a Blair quote I don't know, so I came up with a list of a few favorites. You know you love her...xoxo

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.
