Poetry On Odyssey: Would You?

Would you take my hand, and trust wherever I may lead you? Would you let me whisper how beautiful you are, how much you mean to me, and just maybe believe it too?

Poetry On Odyssey: Would You?

Would you carelessly run away with me? Would you leave your cares, your life, your job, your family?

Would you dance with me in a place you don't even know? Would you forget about everything, laugh with me, and just go with the flow?

Would you sit under the stars, on the hood of your car, like a cliche movie? Thighs touching thighs, breath in time, while you talk to me?

Would you take my hand, and trust wherever I may lead you? Would you let me whisper how beautiful you are, how much you mean to me, and just maybe believe it too?

Would you start a life with me, build with me, do everything you've ever wanted to? Would you let me take you places, to space even, to anywhere brand new?

Would you ask me to stay even when I'm a crying mess, and I want too much distance? Would you grab me, tell me I'm all you've ever wanted, and kiss me in that instance?

If you say yes, then you're the one that I love already. Take a walk with me, leave all the negativity behind, and let's take this steady.

But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
