You float around a vast nothing,
each day bringing more of nothing in particular.
A beautiful creature- almost deadly to the touch- unable to find something to hold on to.
Time keeps passing by around you, and so does life,
yet you continue to float on,
as an observer,
with only mere beauty to offer to this world.
You let nothing come close you,
keeping yourself absolutely sheltered.
You know those that dare to approach get stung in the process- leaving you alone once more.
And maybe the solace isn't so bad; a comforting way of living,
undisturbed.
But even a jellyfish needs love,
and I hope one day that love will float to you,
and instead of stinging it- you'll find comfort in knowing it'll always stay near you,
keeping you company in this vast nothing.
