I cleaned the corner of my room for a picture for Instagram today, haven't done this in months. Only when I have a special guest like a guy friend. I am tired of subconsciously thinking people think I am self-conscious about my body or I live in a rat hole for not taking full body pics. Even though this corner is a rate hole in itself. I never really come over here unless I water my plants or fidget for unmatched socks. My wooden dresser stained with red nail polish is usually stacked to the ceiling with unopened books and cereal bowls with dried up almond milk surfacing the bottom. I do not like the dirty mirror look in pictures, I get it some people can pull it off with a vintage look. But to me, it just looks like dried up spit bit balls on the glass. I grabbed some Windex and wiped down the glass for a more cleaner look.
Birthday cards and unopened love letters lined the surface of my mirror. Not necessarily the classiest but adds more taste and serves a purpose. Luckily enough my hair was good for the photo, a big ole three-day twist out that needed Apple Cider Vinegar wash. I inched towards my mirror and noticed my lipstick was still intact with a slightly lighter tent after eating my slutty vegan burger. Wow, I haven't studied myself like this in a long time, I kept flipping my camera back to front. My skin has cleared up from my PMSing and I am due for a new phone case, the eyes are fading away. I started digging my fingers into my silk floral robe, I did not want to reveal too much to my Instagram audience. Though I've always wanted to be one of those carefree girls who never gave a fuck and takes pictures with her breast and ass hanging out. I think every girl has but not today, I will stick with my smize that Tyra Banks taught me.
