Sometimes you have to take some time away from society and immerse yourself in nature.
One of my friends has a family lake house in the Adirondacks, so a few of my friends and I drove up to visit. It is a beautiful house looking over Indian Lake with a private dock that you can jump right off of.
There is absolutley nothing to worry about, no responsibilities.
My friend also worked as a white-water rafting guide for the summer, so she was able to take us on a tour through the rapids. It was one of the best experiences of my life. The rapids are truley a metaphor for life. One second, we would be gently floating down the river, and the next we were barely able to stay on the raft.
No two days are the same.
You don't feel the same things, talk to the same people, nor do the exact same things every day. Even if it's only by a minor detail, every day is unique. Some days you're floating through life, not needing to do much to get by. Other days we are stimulated by our surroundings, barley in control. I think it is so cool, to know that there is always a new day, a new adventure, a new opportunity to show the world the best version of yourself. I know that one day will be my last, but that's not what this article is about.
It's about living every day to its fullest.
Making the most out of what life throws at you. Sometimes "making the most" out of your day is simply getting out of bed, I get it, and that is totally okay.
On the really good days, be present, surround yourself with the people you love, laugh hard, love harder.
And on the really bad days,
be present, surround yourself with the people you love, laugh hard, love harder.
On the good days, you may take these things for granted. But on the bad days, these things will keep you alive.
Don't be afraid to let yourself laugh. Don't be afraid to let yourself feel. Because ultimately, one day will be your last. What a beautiful world we live in, and what a beautiful life you can make for yourself.
Take some time to reflect, listen to your thoughts for a while.
And remember,
don't take life too seriously, because honestly, nobody really knows what they're doing.
