A Rant About Rude and Entitled People

Is it just me or is that certain area of people so obnoxious?

A Rant About Rude and Entitled People

To the women who told my dad she was going to call the police because our grass was not trimmed to a certain length: Are you serious?

That's when rules go too far and people do not have morals anymore.

To that man who stared at me paused for a few moments and said "You have an aggressive dog, huh?": No, you are wrong.

She is not aggressive. He was giving me a dirty look and my dog, who is very smart, picked up on that. Dogs stare at each other and his dog was giving my dog bad vibes - hence her barking. Why are people in this neighborhood so rude and heartless? Are your homes in Florida getting boring? Or are you just a cold hearted individual. You see that I am young and vulnerable. You see that you can say anything hurtful to me because I will most likely not say anything back, right?

It is so much more than these comments, it shows what kind of people they truly are. Taking rules way too far does nothing but antagonize. Do they not realize that calling the police on someone because the grass is not cut to a certain length is irrational? That got me thinking: they only think about the rules.

Uh oh, the grass is not 1/2 inch (the way it is "supposed to be," so let's call the police! They are focused on getting people in trouble for weird things. Why? Why would you do that. Some people might say it is the rule, but that is a messed up rule?? It is not just about this instance in particular, but very similar things that if it is a rule, then you get in trouble!

It is not only these two comments that irked me. There have been so much more, but that could turn into a dissertation, because of how many there have been. The vibes every-time I drive by these people are ridiculous.

They are always in their circles with their strollers looking at me and talking amongst themselves about my family, it is pretty uncomfortable when I can tell they are talking about me. They are 30 something years old....c'mon why are you talking shit about a college kid?

I will never become a stay at home mom. Nothing wrong with stay at home moms, but these ones in particular are the worst. These unhappy individuals probably get so bored that they have to create drama with innocent people just to fill a void in their lives.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
