It's been about 3 months since we've been at school, and as happy as I am to be home, I'm counting down the days until we're all back together again. I never thought I would say this, but I really wish I was sitting in my bed in Watty with my crazy roommate.
Most friendships take years to develop. You need time to get comfortable and get to know one another. College is just different than high school; you have easier schedules, you live in the same building, or even sometimes share a class together. This was the biggest blessing to have all of you so close. Dinner dates were almost daily, whether we were eating Watterson quesadillas in a pajamas or put a little makeup on because we knew we were going to see the cute football players while eating popcorn chicken at Tri. If someone missed a dinner, it was basically the end of the world because it was a part pf our family missing and they were missing all our gossip from that day.
It usually takes me forever to open up to someone, but around you guys I felt way more than comfortable. We probably knew each other for less than a month and we were already sharing our deepest secrets from home, knowing we can trust each other with our lives. You guys know my deepest secrets and I honestly can't think of anyone that I trust more. Spending DAYS together made us all become so close, making you guys my home away from home. I feel comfortable enough to crack stupid jokes or sing at the top of my lungs with. You all encouraged me to be me and gave me the confidence I thought I would never have. I'm so grateful for each and everyone of you and love you all with my whole heart.
So here's a little personalized letter for each of you:
Cam, thank you for teaching me to be a bad b***h and to not take anything from any one. Thank you for giving me the confidence to do what I want without worrying about what other people are going to say.
Natalie, thank you for being my first friend this year. You have been there for me through literally it all and I can't imagine not having you in my life.
Chang, thank you for the endless laughs. Even though I get annoyed because you talk in size 6 font, you never fail to make me laugh until I pee my pants (literally).
Bailey, thank you for being the life of the party and making even the most boring night a good time.
Becky, thank you for being the mom of the group. You're always the runner(haha get it) and always a shoulder to cry on and give the best advice when we're all feeling down.
Jordan, thank you for opening up to us. I love that you're comfortable around us, and we will never fail to laugh at your dumb comments.
Violet, even though you joined us a little late, I couldn't imagine not having you. You always have he biggest smile on your face and I thank god that we had sociology together to make us closer.
Let's have a kick a$$ sophomore year ladies, see you in 20 short days.
