A Letter To my Best Friend

Friendship is truly a beautiful thing. It allows you to get so comfortably close to another human soul to allow yourself to share experiences and emotions that you normally wouldn't share with just some stranger that you just met. In the familiarity of being with that one person that you enjoy being around at all times. I'm extremely beyond grateful for my best friend. We became the best of friends since elementary school. Now we're graduated and moving in our own individual careers and still talk daily. Because that's my best friend. I established an unimaginably close bond with this one human being. We've been through situations as friends that I don't think many people can go through and still talk. We have been there for each other through deaths we never wanted to happen. We know every part of each other. I bet that if you asked her what my favorite drink was or my favorite meal from McDonald's she could tell you off of the top of her head like it was nothing. Not only did we connect personally but we connected soulfully, and to me that matters the most. She's the person that when I have my own children I want her to be the god mother. She's the person I explain to boys not to mess with. She's the person I call crying every time a stupid boy breaks my heart. She's my person and she's my best friend. So dear best friend, I love you and thank you.

We Heart It

Over the past decade, television has undergone a very crucial transition: the incorporation of female lead characters. Since it's a known fact that girls actually do run the world (Beyonce said so herself), it's time for the leading ladies of the small screen to get some credit. Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:

If you are like me, you have an interesting personality. Basically, you love to be sassy and snarky, gossip, and act like a total bitch (not really), but deep down, you are actually a very genuinely nice person. The idea of actually hurting someone truly makes you feel bad, and you probably have never actually hurt someone’s feelings because your kindness always shines through, even if you do not want it to. Not sure exactly what I would call this type of personality, but if you identify with it, here are some feelings you can undoubtedly relate to.
