Dear Anxious Heart,
This letter is meant to calm you between beats. I want you to stop and think for a second about all of the good- the good from yesterday, the good from the day before, the good from last week to last month to last year, even the good for tomorrow. Let maybe even just one positive thing occupy your mind and hold on to that euphoric feeling of being able to breathe. Anxiety and feelings of sadness can become overwhelming at certain points. They can consume you when it's someone other than yourself telling you that you aren't worth something. Don't let them be right, and don't let that valley of thinking become inviting to you in the weak moments. Pull yourself up from rock bottom and claw, scratch, kick, and fight your way to the top. Once you reach the surface of overcoming those feelings and thoughts, indulge and breathe in the open air, filled with new tomorrows and possibilities. Throughout this lifetime, there will be trials and tribulations filled with bright highs and dark lows. That's called being alive. You're alive today for a purpose. You may never find out what that purpose was, but make sure the hearts around you recognize it when you're gone. Be a light and a leader for all things you believe in. Don't sit back in a dark cave to dwell on the I cannot. Make it known that you can and will. You can and will survive, strive, strengthen, thrive, prosper, flourish, and succeed. Put your best foot forward, even if you feel like an amputee. Test your faith and let God be the guide. When the waves of anxiety are crashing you time and time again agains the jagged rocks by the shore, let Him be your lighthouse. He will lead you back to safety every single time. Anxious Heart, it is okay to let go of your worries. You don't have to be an anxious heart forever.
