In This Article:

All these resurfacing Debby Ryan scenes are triggering memories of old Disney movies, and amidst the chatter about Camp Rock and High School Musical, we are forgetting those random Disney movies that used to be iconic in the early 2000's. Here are some movies you probably forgot about, but still love all the same.

1. Zenon, Girl of the 21st Century

You might not remember a lot from this movie, but you definitely remember this song.

2. Jump In!

This movie does not get enough credit. Corbin Bleu? Iconic. Keke Palmer? Amazing. The jump roping choreography? Stellar. Their group was called "The Hot Chili Steppers" and I honestly never understood when watching the movie, but now that I'm older, I get it.

3. Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior

Brenda Song really saved the world in this movie and honestly we need to thank her better.

4. The Color of Friendship

Probably the best Disney movie ever made, following a white South African girl staying as an exchange student in the U.S. This movie addressed racism head-on, shedding light on racial issues in South Africa as well as addressing those closer to home. This is definitely the movie to re-watch if you don't remember it.

5. Cadet Kelly

Hilary Duff SHOWED OUT and literally painted her supervisor's hair while she was asleep. If that is not the bravery we need in the defenders of our nation, I don't know what is.

6. The Cheetah Girls

Cheetahs Amigas was a girl power anthem that must never be forgotten. These movies are ridiculously enjoyable to watch, and were definitely one of my favorites as a kid.

7. Lemonade Mouth

You probably remember this one, nevertheless, one of the last best Disney Original movies they ever made.

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…
