A Bride Who Had to Postpone Her Wedding

In This Article:

Every girl dreams of the perfect wedding and planning a wedding is an exciting thing for sure. The days leading up to the wedding are always extremely exciting too except when you have to cancel or postpone your date. With all the stuff that is going on right now, I have couple friends who have had to switch/move around their wedding date. I can only imagine how difficult it much be to check with all your vendors and make sure they have your new date available. But what if they do not have it available, what do you do??? I would go crazy at this point but with a strong support system, I think I could have made it through.

Here is what one of my friends said about postponing her wedding:

"Her mom was a life saver (good support system) and take care of a lot of the details to help save me from some stress. We had to contact every vendor that we already booked and make sure the new date was good for them. We also contacted all of our family members that lived out of state to let them know of the new date because we want them at our wedding. We also bought tons of personalized wedding stuff with the date on it so now we have to scrap all of it. :( We still are in the air with our new date in May with all this craziness."

I feel for this bride/friend! This cannot be easy to switch things all around in just a short period of time. A girl always wants things to be perfect but with all this madness happening in our world today, this is not easy. Having an original wedding date, counting down to the big day. Then getting 30 days till your wedding and COVID-19 happens. Now your countdown begins again hopefully!

Keep the faith to all the brides out there changing things around! Trust in God and everything will be okay, and you will get your day and spend the rest of your life with the man you love!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
