Friends

How you doin'? The TV series Friends was a phenomenon for many throughout the late '90s to early 2000s, and thanks to Netflix, is still relevant today. Often times referenced in numerous conversations and google searched daily, character Rachel Green allows for many influential moments and shares the struggles of the real world with the audience. Rachel Green was the queen of the '90s trends and owned her attire.

1. The School Girl

This outfit screams school girl chic. The mini skirt paired with the classic knee-high socks pulls the whole outfit together.

2. The Little Black Dress

The Little Black Dress will always be an iconic look. Rachel keeps it simple and makes it effortless.

3. Over-sized Sweatshirt

The over-sized sweatshirt is typically reserved for many as their Sunday, lazy day attire. The "I'm not leaving my apartment all day" look. Rachel Green owns this look and could rock it any day of the week.

4. Overalls

This look is simple, yet Rachel Green makes it work for her. Overalls were a go-to many times for Rachel, but each time she wore them with a unique spin that made them look different every time.

5. The Middle Part

The middle part is so effortless and is by far, the best haircut Rachel Green had over all 10 seasons of Friends.

6. The High-Waisted Shorts

Although this trend is still all the rage today, Rachel Green pulls the look off.

7. The Pencil Skirt

During her time at Ralph Lauren, Rachel finds away to appear sexy, while still looking put together and professional.

8. The Denim Vest

Whether at the coffee shop or on a casual day, an episode wouldn't be complete with out a denim vest appearing. This was personally, one of my favorite looks she ever wore. It is so simple, but screams '90s.

9. Turtleneck

I'm not one to wear a turtleneck, but like the denim vest, they were a staple piece in Rachel Green's closet.

10. This Hair.

Every girl that has watched Friends has dreamed of having a "bad hair day" look this good. The effortless pulled back hair really works for her and she has achieved hair goals.

We all love Rachel for her spunky, and tell it as it is attitude, but we can't help but fall in love with her wardrobe too. She is the queen of the '90s trends and thanks to her the styles will live on forever.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
