The year was 1996, one of the best years of the '90s ever. I remember so clearly, as if it was yesterday, picking up a copy of Seventeen magazine with one of my favorite R 'n' B groups of all time, TLC, on the cover. They were barely dressed in army fatigue clothing and had their trademark individuality clearly represented full force on that cover. Left Eye with her famous "left eye" smudged up with the black out paint under her eye, Chili had the classic long, curly hair (that I was always jealous of) and T-boz had her signature short bob that was dyed a shade of blonde that only she, could ever get just right.

I begged my mom for that magazine, and she eventually got it for me as we continued to do our groceries. I went home, and i devoured all the information in that magazine, as if Seventeen was my bible to becoming a teenager. I mean it kind of was. I will save that for a later article....much later!
So on to the 90's that are so clearly banging down our doors, trying to come back, and now they are making their way to our kids... for the record...I am totally okay with that!
Here is a list that proves that the 90's are every bit as cool now, as they were....well back in the actual 90's!
1) The Spice Girls Reunion Tour- Whoa! Hold everything! The ever so popular and lovable group of 5 pop vocalists (well...not so much...but they looked like pop artists, or at least looked good trying) are making a come back. Now, i know some of them, have clearly never quite left the scene I.E. Scary Spice- better known now as Mel B. who has been starring on America's Got Talent as a judge among the likes of Howie mandel and Heidi Klum. Posh Spice A.K.A. Victoria Beckham is still in the picture as David Beckham's wife, but has stayed clear of the public eye a bit as of late. That leaves the other three: Ginger Spice, Baby spice, and Sporty Spice who have not been out in Hollywood or anywhere really for some time. I for one am excited to see this. Won't be making it to NYC but i hope they tape it on HBO at least.

2) The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 - They are back again! they made one movie that had our kids obsessing over them like Sponge-bob, and here they are, back at it with another movie. I don't know about you guys, but i am so damn ready for some Turtle one liners again. Megan Fox and Tyler Perry are set to star in this movie. This gives me a chance to find some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle cartoons and have my son watch them with me again, so i don't feel half as bad at 33 still watching them. Of course i am older now and work...so that translates to him watching and me passing out,

3) Clueless- In 1995, perhaps one of the best movies to ever grace us, came out in the movie theaters. This movie changed my life. I know, I know...you are saying yeah right...! No really, watched this movie so many times, i knew and still know, every line (As If!), the styles....we all tried to emulate at that time, one thing we were missing then, was the confidence these characters had to wear them every day. That was what i loved so much about it. Who didn't love the soundtrack? (rollin' with the homies...) and Cher. Cher was a beautiful soul, with a huge heart and even though she had money, she still treated everyone like a person. Last year, this movie turned 25 years old! This year the popular store Claire's accessories had a whole line of jewelry devoted to the movie. I may be guilty of buying a thing or two off that line...maybe. One thing is for sure, i definitely bought the 25th anniversary DVD, and placed it in the pile with my other two copies. Hey, i have to watch this movie at least twice a year...my friends know this for sure (sorry Krystle)

4) The Craft- You guessed it. Another 90's movie, making a comeback. However, myself and many, many other fans completely disagree with this remake, considering it will be a whole new cast. There are some things in life you just can't touch, and this cult 90's classic, needs to be left alone. There will never be another Nancy anywhere near as good as the lovely, dark, and bewitching Fairuza Balk. By the way, Fairuza makes these amazing hand-poured, high end candles that smell fabulous. Try one if you haven't yet. You will not be disappointed (except maybe the price). You can find them at fairuza.com

5) Charmed- Um.. who else heard that Charmed, may very well be coming back? I am so ecstatic over this, you just have no idea! From what i have read, Alyssa Milano, Holly Marie Combs, and Shannon Doherty would be coming back and reclaiming their roles. These ladies have been all over since they left charmed, and don't get me wrong, i absolutely adored Alyssa on the show Mistresses, but charmed is where she belongs, so let's get that show back on the air, shall we?

6)Full House- Which is now called Fuller House has returned and is only on Netflix. who else is guilty of getting a Netflix subscription solely for Fuller House, raise your hand! ( slowly raises hand) I am not always so ahead of the technological trends... and will admit that! Almost every cast member has returned to the hit tv show (almost) the Olsen twins were the only ones that refused to return, who cares? honestly... they were annoying then too. A lot of people complained that this Full house was not that great. I beg to differ people. I love that these characters are more with the times now. In fact I think they are more relate able then they were back then to be honest ( or i am just getting old...don't know)

7) Blink 182- So Blink 182 got back together again, minus Tom Delonge the bands guitarist, who claims he is still a member but on a bit of sabbatical for the time being. The band has just released their new album as of July 1, 2016 titled California and they have tour dates set up all over the United States, including one in my state and am just beside myself at this point. Years later, they still have it. Tomorrow i am buying that album, feels like i am back in 1996 all over again. Except, we lost all of our damn record stores.

8) Britney Spears- Yes, it's Britney Bitch. The All american, school girl uniform wearing, went crazy and came back better than ever pop star...is back. Britney is set to release a new CD this year. The name of the CD is yet to be determined, but some of the track names have been released and who wouldn't be hyped with the names of some of these tracks such as, Make, Me (Oooh) which is the title lead track. We're waiting with baited breath Brit.

9) Back Street Boys- Now, this one (and don't shoot the messenger) i am not all that enthused about. My best friend Ashlee was their number one fan and went to every concert, met Aaron Carter and even had their European and Japanese versions of their albums. I on the other hand, was like ok, whatevs. Well, they made a recent appearance on the Miss America pageant singing some of their greatest number one hits such as, I Want it That Way and As long as you Love Me. The Backstreet Boys are now slated to come out with a new album. I can see all of you 90's boy band obsessed fans from here, squirming on the edge of your seat. You welcome!

10) Bath N Body Works- I had to save the best for last. Bath N Body Works, recently re released their line of 90's cult favorite scents such as: Country Apple, Pear berry, and Freesia. I walked into the store, and it was like i stepped right back into my high school English class where my friend Stacie would be vigorously reapplying her lotion. I could always count on her to find out the new scents. They all smelled great too. These scents are only available for a limited time, and last week when i walked in, some were even on sale.

That is all i have for today's article. Hope you thoroughly enjoyed your trip back into the 1990's with me. I could probably write at least 5 more articles on the 90's. Let me know what you think down below in the comments, and don't forget to follow me!
