In honor of International Women's Day, I decided to compile a list of women I find to be incredibly inspiring, along with some of their wise words. So with no further adieu, here are 9 women who have inspired me to be a better woman:

“The bullies never remember, but the outcasts never forget.” - Jodee Blanco

If you have never read Blanco's true story, Please Stop Laughing At Me... I would highly recommend it.

"Here are the values that I stand for: honesty, equality, kindness, compassion, treating people the way you want to be treated and helping those in need. To me, those are traditional values." - Ellen DeGeneres

“In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart." - Anne Frank

“I’m not the next Usain Bolt or Michael Phelps. I’m the first Simone Biles.” - Simone Biles

"We shall never know all the good that a simple smile can do." - Mother Teresa

"Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world." - Harriet Tubman

"People always say that I didn't give up my seat because I was tired, but that isn't true. I was not tired physically... No, the only tired I was, was tired of giving in." - Rosa Parks

“When a man hits a target, they call him a marksman. When I hit a target, they call it a trick. Never did like that much.” - Annie Oakley

"When they go low, we go high." - Michelle Obama

I hope reading the quotes of these lovely ladies has touched you somehow. If so, please share this with the hashtag #BeBoldForChange to help support International Women's Day!

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
