We've hit the point in the year where the Groundhog has seen his shadow, meaning we have six more weeks of winter ahead of us. While some love the idea of more snow and frigid cold temperatures, I know some people who are on the opposite spectrum and can't wait for summer. I have spring fever and I have got it bad. Here's some things you can do to try to calm those feelings.
1. Go for a walk
This may seem simple, but some fresh air may do you good. Yes, it's freezing out, but think of all the pretty snow that you get to look at. Nature is cool.
2. Visit cool ice sculptures/ice caves/ice formations
There's plenty of cool features that happens in the winter thanks to Mother Nature. So go out and enjoy them.
3. Go out and do something
This can mean anything. Don't stay cooped up in your house where you can get bored or lazy. Go to your local library or museum or even grocery store because there's always something to do.
4. Exercise
This will keep you in shape for the actual spring and summer seasons and keep your mind at peace.
5. Clean
Get your spring cleaning done early and start cleaning. It'll help keep your mind off of the cold weather and on something productive.
6. Go to a green house
These can be pretty cool because of how many different types of flowers there are out there and it's pretty warm so it's like it's spring already.
7. Do some winter activities before winter is over
Get all your snowboarding, skiing, tubing, ice fishing, and snowmobiling out of your system because soon enough you won't be able to do these activities until next winter.
8. Take a trip somewhere warm
Get your tan on and take a trip with your best friends and remember why you can't stand being in the hot sun 24/7.
9. Do busy work
This will keep your mind off of how cold it is and how much snow is on the ground and keep you productive. And not to mention you'll get everything you need done so you don't end up procrastinating.
Hopefully some of these ideas can help you get rid of some classic spring fever because they sure do help me.
