Some people may not realize the impact Kentucky has had on our world. Here are just a few of the wondrous gifts Kentucky has blessed the world with.

1. The "Happy Birthday" Song

Thanks to two sisters from Louisville in 1863, we now have a perfect way to embarrass each other in restaurants on our special day.

2. JIF Peanut Butter

This jar of heaven wouldn't be in your pantry right now if it weren't for the JIF factory in Lexington. You're welcome, world.

3. Bourbon

The first barrel of bourbon was distilled in Bourbon County, and we're still going strong. Cheers to that, my friends.


4. Disco Balls

Ninety percent of the world's disco balls are manufactured in Louisville. So, yeah. You're welcome again, world.

5. Pop Tarts

The Kellogg's Factory in Pikeville made your breakfast 10 times more exciting in childhood.

6. Fried Chicken
