The time between Thanksgiving and Christmas is by far my favor time of the here!! Everyone is excited for the holidays and no matter how bad your day is, you can't help but smile when you see decorated window displays. And, it is the one time in the year that you don't get frustrated at the mall, even when the line is so long. It all starts with Thanksgiving, which is right around the corner! So here are somethings to help get you into the holiday mood!

1. Red Starbucks cups

To be honest, I don't even go to Starbucks that much but even seeing someone with a red cup of coffee makes me excited for what is to come!

2. Michael Buble's Christmas Album

I know that a lot of people have a strict regiment as to when it is too early to listen to Christmas music, but everyone can agree once you hear it, you're in a great mood.

3. Shopping

It all starts with Black Friday and quite frankly, there's really no other day like it! When else is it socially acceptable to camp outside a store, and moreover when else would there be 50 other people waiting behind you?

4. Family

Thanksgiving is when all of chaos and fun of the holiday begins! And, you appreciate your great company and delicious homemade food!

5. TV Specials

Nothing says the holidays like A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving or The Santa Clause!

6. Going to a Tree Lighting

Whether it is the large tree at Rockefeller Center or your town's local lighting ceremony, the lighting of the tree symbolizes the start of the holidays!

7. Food

From pumpkin pie to apple crumble, and Christmas cookies, the holidays would not be the same without these comforting treats!

8. Making Snowflakes

It doesn't matter that we've been making paper snowflakes since kindergarten, they still get you in the winter spirit!

9. Being Thankful

All other perks aside, the holidays are for being thankful; thankful for the people who surround and love you, for the food on your dinner table and all that you have!

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
