Before we head into the grueling final weeks of the semester, I have come up with a few ideas on how to stay calm and stay organized.

1. Keep a planner.

This is essential. My planner holds my entire life and I would be lost without it. Keep a calendar with all your exams and assignments. This is probably the best way to stay organized and know what is going on so you never miss an assignment or exam.

2. Color coordinate.

Color coordinating is very helpful for keeping an organized look and it is pretty too. Color coordinating can help you not get mixed up with assignments and can make sure you never accidentally bring the wrong books to class.

3. Be early.

Arrive five to ten minutes early before classes or exams so you can get yourself settled before they start. This is helpful because it lets you relax and clear your mind before an exam. Nothing is worse than showing up late and being flustered when you have to walk into a lecture hall while people stare.

4. Plan out your outfits.

This is helpful because if you wake up late you are not worrying about what to wear, or it could just save you an extra 10 minutes in bed that you would normally be spending picking out an outfit.

5. Always carry a bottle of water.

This sounds silly but, water is essential and something a person needs throughout their day. Water keeps you hydrated but it also keeps you energized and energy is something necessary for success.

6. Don't leave it until the last minute.

The last thing you want to do is stress about submitting assignments in the last 15 minutes. Give yourself enough time to complete and check over assignments so you are not stressed while doing them, which will then lead to mistakes.

7. Pack snacks!

Always having a snack available is a comforting feeling. I prefer to pack healthy and energizing snacks that I can eat throughout my day once I start to feel sluggish.

8. Prioritize

This is one of the most important tips for success. It goes along with planning out your day. You must prioritize work, activities, and friends to be successful at school. College comes with a lot of packages and deadlines. Prioritizing things is crucial to success because time flies and before you know it the day is over and you got nothing done. The best way to do this is by getting your important work out of the way first, there for you can relax and enjoy the rest of your day without the stress of undone work hanging over your head.

9. Have a "To-Do" List.

Having a “to do” list is very helpful because it keeps you on track for what needs to be done that day. On your “to do” list, have your items listed from most important to least. An added bonus is crossing your items off your “to do” list because it is an amazing feeling.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
