9 Times 'The Office' Got Life Right

NBC's hit comedy "The Office" aired from 2005 to 2013, but still maintains a relevant presence in our world today. From Michael Scott's inappropriate handling of awkward situations, to Jim's iconic camera eye-contact, the show gave us characters that we can relate to and characters we can relate to others around us. Of course it is preferred that you cannot relate anyone in your own life to Creed, since you know, he's Creed. Below are nine times "The Office," captured life and the people taking part in it perfectly.

1. When Stanley embodied what it means to be a true foodie.

Because if there is anything that we as humans can relate to it is the need for food when you're hungry, specifically pizza if it's available.

2. Kelly is all of us trying to prove our intellect to non-believers.

Sure, Kelly may have been seen as one of the less intelligent individuals in the office, but her appearance and demeanor shouldn't impact the way others see her.

3. Dwight showed us how spending time with co-workers can effect you.

They say that impersonation is the highest form of flattery, but sometimes you have no choice in the matter. Long hours and unintentional observation can have some pretty interesting results.

4. The time that Michael Scott asked a question we've all asked ourselves.

In life you will encounter many people that force you to ask this question, maybe in a more eloquent way, but you will ask it nonetheless.

5. Synchronicity like Jim and Pam.

Okay, so it may be a stretch to say you'll be as in sync as this iconic duo, but there is always one person who will get your jokes or see the world the same way, whether it is your best friend or your significant other.

6. The time Jim tried going incognito.

When has there not been a time that you'd rather avoid an acquaintance than have to make small talk about the weather?

7. When the office pegged the reality of taking the family Christmas photo.

Probably one of the most iconic moments from the show is the truth of many holidays among families who struggle to capture the perfect photo for the season.

8. These wise words from Andy that describe growing up.

Andy may have been unpredictable, but there were times where he would provide little shreds of honest statements like this one where you'd realize he was just a grown up kid. Who could not relate to such ideas?

9. They showed us that work can be fun.

All mediocrity considered, "The Office," showed us that work can be a fun time and it is what you make it, if that isn't the truest thing you've heard, than I don't know what is.

Bonus: The one time we could relate to Creed.

Scared Creed is the only Creed that we will ever relate to, but he definitely provides a perfect example of who to avoid in the workplace.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
