Writing an Odyssey article every week is not easy. No matter if you're a linguistics or biomedical engineering major, eventually we all get writer's block. And it's not fun. With your article due at midnight and it's already 11:00 pm, it's go-time. However, everyone has already written about everything. Whether it's politics or fashion, SOMEONE has already written about it, at least once. When you're a creator, you want to come up with an original idea. Here are the thoughts and struggles that every Odessey creator has when trying to write an article...

1. "Wtf should I write about?"

2. "Maybe my article will go viral!!! I'll add a funny gif about Kanye because everyone is obsessed with him."

3. "I think Kanye is more obsessed with himself."

4. "Okay, I need to focus again."

5. "Yes, this is a brilliant idea! I'm a genius!"

6. "Why do puppy videos go viral and my article doesn't when it is actually a masterpiece?"

7. "Okay, I'm rewriting this. I can't write. How am I in college?"

8. "I'm sending this sentence to my mom. I have no clue if this is correct grammar."

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.
