Longwood is a small school in Farmville, Virginia; our population is about 5,000 students. Living on a small campus in a small town teaches you a few things. Here are 9 things you know to be true if you're a Longwood Lancer:
1. Seeing at least 10 people you know when you walk to class.
When you go to school with 5,000 people, you're bound to see a few people you know.
2. Neglecting your school work for a CHI walk is acceptable.
CHI walks are a tradition; take a study break.
3. Red and Green make Blue.
Red class rules, green class drools.
4. Carrying hand sanitizer when you need extra luck from Joanie on the Stonie.
Maybe we don't all do this, but we regret it every time.
5. Never stepping on the Rotundas.
Don't even joke about it.
6. Always stepping on the Crowns.
Or running around to all 7 crowns because you need an A on that exam.
7. Farmville closing at 5.
You get used to it.
8. Waking up 15 minutes before class starts, and making it on time.
Small campuses definitely have their perks.
9. Finding a home.
Through the good time and the not so good times, Longwood will always be our home!
