Dogs are undeniably the greatest animals to walk the earth. Everything that they do is just so perfect that even if they manage to piss you off ever so slightly, it's okay. Dog lovers, prepare yourselves for this, cat lovers, just leave now because you won't understand.
1. When they tilt their heads when you talk to them
It's just so cute! They are SO smart and they seem to understand what you are saying to them. Even if they don't quite get it, they make it look like they are trying to absorb the information that you are sharing with them. They truly care about you because they are such great listeners.
2. When they give you puppy eyes after they just completely damaged something
Yes, I can no longer wear those socks because you tore them to shreds, but it's okay! It's just a sock, and your sad little eyes say that you really did not intend to cause damage. I will forgive you.
3. When they go ballistic when you come home
YES, I MISSED YOU TOO!!! You feel like a celebrity when your dog hypes you up when you make your entrance into your home. Thank you for making me feel important and special.
4. When they jump up and lay on furniture that they know they aren't supposed to be on
They are so bad, but they know that they look cute sitting on that couch, and your heart melts a little bit.
5. When you give them a treat (because they were a good boy/girl) and they take it from you ever so gently
Thank you for being considerate and not eating my whole hand! I appreciate it.
6. When they snuggle up against you at night
Everyone loves a good cuddle session even if they take up a little too much space. Sometimes, their body heat is too much to handle and you start sweating. You know that you can't move them because they look so comfortable...and adorable, of course.
7. When they bring you one of their favorite toys
Apparently it is a proven fact that when your dog loves you, they share their favorite toys with you. How precious is that?
8. When they sleep in strange positions
You just admire how your dog's body can stay in that position. You are amazed by your little buddy's contortionist capabilities. What a talented pup!
9. When they won't leave your side when they sense that something is wrong.
This is why we need dogs in our lives. Though they may not understand exactly what you tell them, they always manage to sense if something isn't quite right with you, and they support you and stick with you all of the way until you get past it.
