9 Things You Need To Know When Dating A Pisces

If you're a pisces you've heard of the stigmas and stereotypes of our sign; we're emotional and sensitive and moody, etc. And normally I would say *enter eye roll* except that most of it is true to an extent, but everything in moderation, folks. We as pisces are a water based sign, meaning we're go with the flow, easily adaptable, emotionally driven, passionate, creative beings. We know we're a lot to handle, but we also know we're worth it.

So for all you significant others out there, here's nine things to keep in mind while dating what's said to be the most difficult and emotional sign out there:

1. We love, deeply

Once you've gained our trust, we will give ourselves to you, wholeheartedly. We'll do anything for you; we feel tremendous joy and find satisfaction in speaking your love language. But rarely expect anything in return. We keep very few close and intimate relationships, but can make friends with anyone, anywhere. We're extremely loyal and will defend those closest to us, no matter if they're wrong or right.

2. We're a tad emotional

We feel everything and anything. We fester, we create problems that were never problems, that should never be problems. We overthink and overanalyze, every single thing. We feel everything, and deeply. A little communication or validation go a long way for us -- most of the time, it saves us from ourselves.

If you upset us, we go cold and completely shut down. We treat you as you treat us. Our breaking points are rarely reached, but when triggered, there's no going back. We will never forget the way you made us feel, ever. We're hypersensitive to rejection and criticism, but we're always hardest on ourselves, so be patient.

3. We observe everything

Meaning, we watch your reactions, we read your body language, we create formulas for how we think you'll react based on previous interactions. Which prevents us from telling you how we actually feel because we think we already know what you're going to say/do. And we especially don't want to feel like we're burdening you.

4. Music is our savior

Don't be surprised if we have multiple playlists on hand based on our mood(s). This is where we turn when we're upset, or sad, or angry, when we have no idea how we're feeling. This is where we turn when we're alone. Music allows us to feel whole again. It speaks to our creative side, it inspires us, it lifts us, it validates us. It is our vice.

5. We're creative

This is often used as an outlet; we create in attempts to make sense of our feelings. Writing, painting, drawing, pottery, composing, anything artistic, it doesn't matter what we're creating, as long as we are, we'll feel like we're home.

6. Our sixth sense is real

We go with our gut, almost always. When something doesn't feel right, or we feel like someone is lying or sketch, we know. Our intuition will smell your bullsh*t from miles away, so don't even try.

7. Letting go is hard

We have a terrible habit of holding onto people that are bad for us. We feel like we've put real effort and love into such relationships, thus making it that much harder to let go of. We like to think we can salvage any wrong doings, but alas we cannot, and it's hard for us to accept.

8. We need alone time

As social and loving as we are, we require down time to recharge and center ourselves. Whether this is when we create or when we sleep for days at a time. We need to be left to feel. We need time alone to enjoy and value ourselves.

9. We're dreamers

We're constantly daydreaming about where we'd rather be or what we'd rather be doing. Planning our upcoming adventures, dreaming of traveling to every crevice of the Earth. We spend a lot of time here, meaning bringing us back to reality can be a struggle sometimes because know we're destined for more.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
