Who does not want a puppy? I want to overcommit and get ten. But seriously.

Getting a dog is so exciting. From naming the little gal/guy to the full grown years, dogs bring so much happiness, no matter the breed.

If you have ever owned or knew someone who owned a Boxer, you know they are not like any other type of canine. Their squishy faces and weird personalities (come on, it is true) make you fall in love with them over and over again.

Here are nine things Boxer lovers/owners know to be true:

1. Waggy Butts

Fun fact: soon after they are born, the majority of a Boxers' tail is cut off. For this reason, when Boxers wag their "tail," they whip their ENTIRE BODY. It is amazing. And so happy.

2. The Head Turn

I know other dog breeds do this, but there is something about a Boxer doing it that makes you that much happier. I may be biased.

3. The Squishy Face

4. The Stare

When you look up from reading and they are LITERALLY staring into your soul from across the room. Good times.

5. Boxer Puppies

Maybe I am biased. But Boxer puppies are some of the cutest ever. On earth.

6. Water.

Boxers are really bizarre with water. Some love it, some despise it. Either way, watching them interact with water is massively entertaining.

7. Energy

SO. MUCH. ENERGY. When you are around other dogs, you forget how low maintenance they are in comparison to your Boxer.

8. They are just so endearingly weird.

It is true. This is why we love them.

9. The Love

Boxers have so much love to give and love getting it in return. Who does not love to be loved? I know the baby above does.
