1. FREE FOOD

Siblings usually get real people jobs before you so they can give you food and buy you food and do a lot of things with food that you do not have to pay for!

2. FREE RIDES

Your older sibling will probably get their license before you so then your parents will force them to drive you to your friend's house or your soccer practice! Of course, this makes you feel like the cool kid because at least you aren't riding the bus or your parents are not picking you up!

3. FREE CLOTHES

Half the time if someone asks me where I got a piece of my outfit I say My Sister's Closet, sounds like a boutique right... but I literally mean my sister gave this to me!

4. YOUR TRADITIONS RIPPED AWAY

I never said all things it gets you are positives! Since my oldest sister is 9 years older than me when she was 20 I was 11 so of course, the Easter Bunny came but now when I am almost 20 she is 29 and the Easter Bunny is getting a little tired of making Easter baskets. My excuse is that she got them when she was 20 so I deserve one still! Also now that she has a husband and lives across the country I no longer get to see her every Christmas morning.

5. MORE PRESENTS

Again since your siblings have a real job they can afford to buy you presents! Instead of just birthday presents from mom and dad you get some from your older sisters and older brother!!

6. BEST FRIENDS

These are the only friends that 100% understand your family! You never have to explain which cousin is which and which uncle they belong to! They were probably your first roommate so you could always have those late night talks with someone!

7. FREE THERAPIST

Not only those late night talks but also during the day! They will have a little more life experience but aren't completely from another generation! They can help guide you through high school and those dumb boyfriends you had and help you make-up with your best friend!

8. MOM AND DAD UNDERSTANDERS

No one will ever understand how your parents really are except your siblings. They may also help you when it comes to rules! Hopefully, they can make your parents a little more lenient!

9. LOVE

Siblings will always love you even if you fart in their face or post the embarrassing picture of them at the Christmas party! They will laugh with you and cry with you but always be with you!

I know for a fact I would be a completely different person if I was not the youngest with my three older siblings and now two brother-in-laws that I have!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

winter

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
