You don't do a lot of things right. You get frustrated too much when you can't understand me, you forget things I think you shouldn't and you don't understand a lot of what you do can be interpreted differently than you expected.

But above all that, you do the important things right. The little things you do may seem to go unnoticed, but I see them. In fact, they make me fall in love with you more every time. So here is what is long over due, thank you love. Thank you for,

1. Always telling me when there is something in my teeth

I complain that it is embarrassing me, but thanks for always making sure I don't walk around looking like an idiot all day. Thanks for always having my back.

2. Always reminding me to put my seatbelt on

I roll my eyes a lot, remind you it's only a five minute drive, but you aways insist otherwise. Thank you for caring that much, thank you for always making sure I'm safe.

3. Always putting a smile on my face when I need it

We read a saying once that relationships work when there is 100% love. Sometimes we give 50% each a day, some days one of us wants to give 10% so the other has to give 90% so there is always 100% love. Thank you for always giving the 90% when need be.

4. Assuring me everything is going to be ok

I am not the most emotionally stable college student and you always have a calm head on your shoulders. Thank you for balancing me out. Thank you for always being there to say those words, even when I am being dark and twisty.

5. Setting aside old shirts you don't use anymore for me

You probably have the smallest wardrobe known to man now, but thank you for always thinking of me...and excepting that everything that is yours is mine too.

6. Always letting me win the argument

Well...some of the arguments. But you would rather agree with me than fight with me altogether, so thank you for always never letting a fight get too far.

7. For loving my family like your own

They're not exactly what you are used to, but they are important to me and you embrace that. i could never tell you accurately enough how much that means to me. Thank you for being everything they ever wanted for me.

8. Always sending me a goodnight text

People make a big deal about good morning texts, but there is a sweet satisfaction knowing I'm the last thing on your mind before you go to bed. Thank you for always making sure your mine.

9. Loving me

Thank you for always accepting me for who I am and loving me anyway. Thank you for being the love of my life. Most of all, thank you for being you.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
