Warm, sunny weather calls for hiking and adventuring. Why not hike through Oklahoma? I can guarantee your day will be well spent if you hit the trails this spring and see our beautiful state.
1. Elk Mountain Trail
Nestled in the Wichita Mountains, this is a lightly trafficked 2.2 mile in and out trail. Rated as a moderate trail, it is an easy hike!
2. Narrows Trail to Boulder Mountain
Also in the Wichitas, this 1 mile loop trail features a gorgeous view at the top. Although it is rated as difficult, don't be discouraged, it is still just a moderate hike in my opinion.
3. Turkey Mountain via Yellow Trail
This 3.8 mile loop in Tulsa is open year round and also allows dogs and horses. Grab some friends and check out the awesome river views!
4. Clear Bay Trail
Best used from March- October, this 8.7 mile loop is an easy Trail just outside of Norman in Little River State Park
5. Charons Garden Mountains Trail
Featuring a lake and numerous wildflowers, this 6.9 mile out and back trail is a difficult one, but worth it in the end.
6. Green Leaf Trail Loop
17.9 miles of moderate hiking that is mostly used for overnight backpacking. Suited for dogs, horses, and families.
7. Skyline Trail
An 11.6 mile loop near Broken Bow, this difficult hike features a waterfall and is recommended for experienced adventurers!
8. Turner Falls Park Hiking Trails
Heavily trafficked due to the stunning 77 foot waterfall, this is a 3.5 mile moderate loop trail. There is a $12 entrance fee for this, but it's well worth the money.
9. Robber's Cave Trail
Said to be the hideout of infamous outlaws, this 0.9 mile loop is moderately trafficked and goes over boulders and features a river.
