Don't stress out, rock out!

9 Songs to Get You Through Finals Week
Rolling Stones

As a college student, few things are more stressful than finals week. In fact, the apocalypse itself may be outshone by the stress of that upcoming test. Few things can be done to alleviate the anxiety surrounding the last few weeks of the semester, but a few tunes you can turn up and jam out to is sure to help you make it to the end.

1. 'Till I Collapse; Eminem

Because sometimes the anxiety catches up, and you just might collapse. Plus, Eminem is Eminem - you can't get much more motivational than Marshall Mathers.

Check out the song here on iTunes.

2. Jukebox Hero; Foreigner

There are few 80's songs that get me moving, but man this is one of them. I like to play Jukebox Hero when I feel like I'll fail my classes. Because even if I fail, I'll just pick up my six string and rock out.

Check it out on YouTube.

3. Don't Stop Believing; Journey

Oh yeah, you knew I'd go there, didn't you? That song played at nearly every prom, homecoming, and high school dance in the history of humanity. Don't let the 98 you need on your final in order to pass the class get you down, just believe, man.

Take the midnight train right on over to their live performance.

4. Stressed Out; Twenty One Pilots

As if most college girls weren't already in love with Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun, the American rap duo has offered their condolences for finals week. Somehow, in musical prose, the two captured every college students inner-thinking, "When did life become so hard? When did I grow up?" Don't worry, this song will throw you back to pre-k.

Their official music video is quite nostalgic, might I add.

5. Me, Myself & I; G-Eazy

Even if you don't care for the rap genre, G-Eazy and fellow track star Bebe Rexha blend a chorus and hook together like none other. The reigning #1 song on iTunes will make you feel capable of anything, and remind you that believing in yourself is the key to success of any kind.

Find the clean version on iTunes.

6. So What; P!NK

Sure this song is 8-years-old, but does that mean that it isn't still one of the greatest party songs of all time? Even if you fail every final you take, so what - you're still a rock star, right?

P!NK may even own the title of best music video on this list.

7. Hakuna Matata; Lion King

Okay, okay, this isn't actually a "song" per se, but it's far too accurate to leave off this list. After studying for six hours and still feeling lost, just let Timon and Pumba soothe your soul. You can pass that test, because it means no worries, for the rest of your days.

In case you've never seen Disney's greatest movie to date, here's their problem-free philosophy.

8. Roar; Katy Perry

If you watched Super Bowl 49, you should understand that Katy Perry's halftime performance likely sparked the New England Patriots unlikely 10 point comeback. If Katy could motivate 52 grown men in the biggest performance of their life, I think it's safe to say that this song can will you to passing that test.

Relive left shark and the entire Super Bowl XLIX halftime show here.

9. Hold On, We're Going Home; Drake (ft. Majid Jordan)

Once that last test is finished, the last box is packed, and the last college meal of the semester is eaten, it's time to head home. Nothing may feel better than that drive or flight back, but Drake can certainly help.

Hold on to your seats, because this is one interesting music video.

If these songs don't get you through the last two weeks, there's not a whole lot that will; even the 8 hours of studying you did last night.

For those long nights that turn into mornings when the struggle is real.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."
