10 Signs You're Actually 20 Going On 70

If you're anything like me, you know you're basically a grandma. You're not the typical 20 year old that likes to party, stay up late, or sleep in. There isn't much about being a young adult that interests you. My friends are definitely the life of the party, but I'm the party pooper. I don't mind being the responsible one or the "Mom" of the group. I like to see my friends have fun, but I have my other ways of having fun.

Here's how you can tell if you're basically 70 years old too:

1. Your bed time is 9:00 sharp.

2. Your idea of a fun night is staying at home and relaxing.

3. You wake up early in the morning because you like to get up and get stuff done.

4. You get excited to watch Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.

5. You're always cold.

6. You'd rather listen to music from the 80s than today's rap music.

7. One of your favorite things to do is bake for all your friends and family members.

8. You worry about every little thing.

9. Cleaning house is something you actually love to do.

10. You're the "Mom" in your group of friends.

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.
