9 Signs You Are Addicted To HGTV

HGTV is the best channel cable offers. For people who love watching homes get renovated, and decorated super nicely, they know how amazing HGTV is. From "Property Brothers" to "Fixer Upper," any show on HGTV is so entertaining. If your dream in life is to be on an HGTV show, keep reading because you are probably addicted to HGTV.

1. Chip and Joanna are relationship goals.

They are so cute! They work well together and make each other smile all of the time. Not to mention they have great taste and you love the houses they renovate.

2. You know what shiplap is and you want it in your house.

Thanks to Joanna’s love of shiplap, you now know that you like it too. You get so many good ideas and inspiration for your future home.

3. You can tell the Property Brothers apart.

Drew and Jonathan are the most amazing realtor and contractor twins ever. They are so funny to watch and the finished product of their houses are stunning.

4. David and Hilary have beef in every episode of "Love It or List It" and it makes you laugh.

They always have snarky comebacks to each other and its great. Hilary wants the family to keep the house after she renovates it, and David wants to find them a new house to move into.

5. You always correctly predict whether the people are going to “love it” or “list it.”

Depending on the family on "Love It or List It," you can always tell if they are going to stay or move. Usually the house Hilary updates is nice, but they want a new, more functional house.

6. You get grossed out by the houses on flip or flop but are amazed at the finished product.

Christina and Tarek know how to take a really horrible old house and make it beautiful. They give the house some TLC and then put it on the market. You wish you could buy the houses they flip.

7. "Beachfront Bargain Hunt" and "Caribbean Life" make you wish you lived near a tropical beach.

These shows make you so jealous. How can you not want to have a beach house? These shows are goals.

8. "House Hunters" is your go-to show.

"House Hunters" is probably the best show on HGTV. It’s so fun to look at houses in different cities and see which one the people pick. And its interesting to hear what are on people’s must have lists for homes.

9. "House Hunters International" is your runner-up favorite show.

Just like "House Hunters," "House Hunters International" is where families look at some houses for sale but abroad. Its like traveling in your living room.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week.
