9 Signs You're A Workaholic

Being a workaholic isn't always a bad thing.

Being a workaholic isn't always a bad thing or a good thing. You'll see the good sides of working all the time, along with the bad. Here are just a few reasons you know you're a workaholic.

1. Friends

Friends are always asking you to pay for things. Even if you have $15 in your bank account, they think you're rich. You make friends at work because you work so much that you share things with coworkers you probably wouldn't share with other people. Being at work all the time causes some relationships with friends and family to suffer unless they understand that you're busy.

2. Time Off

A day off makes you either feel lazy or relaxed. You wonder about your coworkers' day and the things that got done. Then again, you also feel like you've earned the day off because you work so much.

3. Sleep

You have nightmares about showing up to work late or something going wrong at work. You hardly sleep because of this and because you're always working. The nights where you closed and then will open the next day makes it so you have such minimal sleep that you live off coffee, or you just sleep on the couch at work because you're smart.

4. Homes

Work is your second home. You've become used to the environment and you're very close with your coworkers. Your family and friends ask you if you live at work, and to be honest, you basically do. Spending time at home with your family makes you so happy, but you're always looking forward to going back to the office.

5. Coffee

Coffee is a part of your daily ritual. Waking up on those early mornings and going into work makes you crave coffee. You may try to get through the day without having a cup but about halfway through the day, you cave in.

6. Family Time

You rarely see your family, but when you do, you take advantage of that time. Even when you're able to drive home for just a few hours, you will. The little time spent with family is better than never seeing them at all.

7. Effort

You put in 110 percent because you don't want to slack off. If you don't do your best, you'll know it and so will your boss. You want to work so hard because you don't want to let your coworkers down. You don't even have to think about what you have to do, it just comes naturally.

8. Positivity

You look forward to punching in and working. Every time you go in, your shift goes by so fast. If you have a negative attitude during work, it makes the work day go by slower and you'll most likely have fewer friends in the work place.

9. Money

You've always got money and you love being able to afford whatever you want and not worry about the bills. At the same time, you're so busy working that you hardly have time to go out and spend it.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
