It's almost here!

9 Signs Spring Break Is Coming
Student City

With spring break around the corner, college students nationally are getting swamped with exams and papers all due within the same three-day span. If you think I'm kidding, I'm not. But of course, when spring fever hits campuses, you know it's coming.

1. Warm weather

Colleges go crazy when it goes above 60 degrees. Dages, people everywhere, and enough foot traffic to power your campus for a year are all about to hit your campus.

2. Getting slammed with assignments

I have an exam, a paper, and an oral presentation plus a quiz all on the same day... RIP.

3. Texts from friends you graduated with

You spoke to these people over winter break, and maybe once before that. But hey, who else are you going to see over spring break besides your family and dog?

4. Bathing suits galore

Stores suddenly have them out overnight and you really need that cute red one.

5. You suddenly realize how badly you need to shave your legs.

Whether you actually plan on doing it or not, the thought crosses your mind for a second.

6. You actually feel better!

Sun gives us Vitamin D which strengthen bones, muscles, and the body's immune system.

7. St. Patrick's Day and Easter decorations

Two pretty great holidays if you ask me, so of course, they'd be near spring break.

8. People mentioning their vacation plans that they've had since winter break...

They're surfing in Cancun and you're couch surfing in East Bumble, USA.

9. Dages

Day parties, day rages, or simply dages are a common sign that spring break is approaching, but more importantly, so is the end of the semester.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
