In the era of the year 2016, everyone’s favorite TV shows seem to be making a comeback in a reboot. Thanks to social media we are all able to voice our opinion on shows we wish would come back. Earlier this year shows like "Full House" came back with "Fuller House." Other fan favorites like "The X-Files" were also brought back; "Gilmore Girls" and "Prison Break" will soon be back as well. This leaves us all with the lingering question about what show will soon get a reboot? Below are a few shows I wish were brought back. I do realize a lot of these shows were cancelled years ago and much of the cast is more mature aged, but a girl can dream. Most of these shows were also axed unexpectedly leaving fans without proper closure.
1. "Veronica Mars"
Veronica was always an outcast but regardless of her situation, she always had a sarcastic and snarky sense of humor. She was a private investigator sticking her nose in people’s business which is why I loved her. Television needs more strong female leads like Veronica Mars (Once a marshmallow, always a marshmallow).
2. "Freaks and Geeks"
Although this show was cancelled due to it being “too depressing,” it was actually groundbreaking. Living in circa 1980 as a high school misfit is actually a great story line. I mean, wouldn’t it be nice to see all of these now-huge stars—thanks to Judd Apatow—make a comeback in a revival of this show?
3. "Friday Night Lights"
I’m talking about the spin-off show, created after the movie. The first few seasons with the original cast was amazing. It was a little over done after season 3. But how amazing would it be to see that original cast come back?
4. "One Tree Hill"
This show had a good run. Although it gave us closure at the end of the last season, I still want it to come back. Nothing gives me more feels than that Brooke, Peyton and Lucas love triangle. Each episode began with a quote, that would tie in with the episode and leave you relating it to your own life.
5. "Southland"
If you live in Los Angeles, you probably recognize every location on this show. It is one of the few shows that actually shows you the reality behind what police officers deal with every day.
6. "Gossip Girl"
This show also had a proper finale, but I could never get enough of it. If you have not already watched or re-watched it, I highly suggest you do. Who doesn’t enjoy watching overly privileged Upper East Side kids be threatened by this “Gossip Girl” who leaks scandals of their daily life?
7. "The Hills"
I realize this is a “reality show” but come on, we all loved the drama, and Lauren Conrad.
8. "90210" or "Beverly Hills 90210"
I loved them both. I still enjoy watching reruns of the original "Beverly Hills 90210" and feeling major inspiration by all of their trendy 90s outfits. The spin-off remake titled “90210” was just as good and full of Beverly Hills drama.
9. MTV’s "Skins"
Americans were really upset about this show. Reviews labeled it as “child pornography” and said this show should be axed. On contrary belief, I found the show to be very entertaining and a wild ride in the life of adolescence.
