College roommates are honestly the greatest blessings.

9 Reasons Your College Roommates Are The Best

Picking random roommate assignment was honestly one of the best decisions I've made for my freshman year of college. I was scared at first because I didn't know what to expect, but they're honestly some of the best people on this earth. Here are nine reasons why your college roommates are the absolute greatest:

1) They let you eat their food, even if they secretly don't want you to.

I'm guilty of this one, I eat my roommates' meals all the time, but I share my food too!

2) You wear each other's clothes.

I have something they like, they have something I like. It's a mass clothing swap. We've all raided each other's closets at least once or twice at this point.

3) They give the best advice.

We all make dumb mistakes. Your roommates are their to give you advice on boys, clothes, classes, etc. (and let's be honest, they give the greatest advice, too).

4) They cook for you.

Oh and speaking of food, my roommates have made food for the whole apartment. And it's good. Reaaaally good. Bless them. (and I still need to make a meal for them, speaking of).

5) There's no judgment on how sloppy you look.

I've not once dressed up fancy for class, and neither have my roommates. There's never any judgement or comments about how we dress, because we are think "same."

6) If you hate someone, they hate that person, too.

You come home and rant about someone you despise and it's go time girls! We all bash the same person together, regardless of if we know them or not.

7) They stop you from doing stupid things.

This also goes back to the advice. Roommates prevent one another from making decisions we will regret later on. They will definitely call you out on it before you press the send button.

8) They laugh with you and at you.

My roommates have laugh attacks on the daily, it's expected. One of us always does something weird, but we choose to laugh anyways.

9) They're there for you no matter what.

My roommates have been with me through some tough moments, and vice versa. We help each other through the good and the bad. Altogether, we just love each other so, so much, and want the best for one another.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
