It may be because I have seen all nine seasons of "One Tree Hill" three times, and I could give anyone the lowdown on the show forwards and backwards. Or it may because the show just rocks. Either way, "One Tree Hill" is my favorite series to binge watch on Netflix and will be until I find a new way to usefully waste my time. If you have never seen the show, I can tell you it is full of all the aspects that a five-star worthy show should have.

1. Early 2000s

Anyone who says they don't have a slight guilty pleasure for any show from the early 2000s era is clearly lying. Who doesn't love silk crop tops, jean skirts, pooka shell necklaces and old school Fall Out Boy?

2. Nathan Scott

Ah, Nathan Scott. The idolized star and captain of the Tree Hill Ravens basketball team. He starts off as a hard-headed, cold-hearted jock until life events soften him into the beloved character he always will be.

3. Lucas Scott

You thought things couldn't get any cuter? Wrong! There is another Scott brother that we all know and love. Lucas, the more kindhearted and soft spoken of the two brothers, makes his way into the hearts and minds of everyone in Tree Hill with his basketball skills and mysterious physique.

4. TBT (Throwback Thursday)

Whether you actually were a teen in the early 2000s or you are watching this show as a teen in 2016, the music in "One Tree Hill" brings back memories of a simpler time. Ranging anywhere from Gavin DeGraw to Angels and Airwaves, this show gives a taste of what the sound of the 2000s was like.

5. Friendship goals to the max

Brook Davis and Peyton Sawyer, better known as "B Davis and P Sawyer" are the show's butt-kicking, always have your back best friends we can all dream of having. Surviving multiple boys, absentee parents and a long list of secrets and lies surrounding the students at Tree Hill High, they manage to come out on the other side stronger than ever.

6. Ball is life. Literally.

For the town of Tree Hill, Ravens basketball is the talk of the town. With Nathan Scott at the helm and his new teammate Lucas making his way on the court, this duo is unstoppable. The first four seasons are nothing but high school drama and basketball games -- what's not to love?

7. Every girl needs a guy best friend, right?

Lucas and Haley are the kind of guy/girl best friends that we can all strive to have. Never once has there been a spark of anything but the pure love of a friend between them, and I think that is what kept them so sane through all the drama of small town Tree Hill.

8. The Villain

Dan Scott. Biological father of Lucas and Nathan Scott, but not really a father at all. The show provides nine seasons of Dan trying to invade and ruin the lives of everyone in Tree Hill, and everyone in Tree Hill trying to rid their lives of Dan. Ironic?

(classy Dan, right?)

9. Naley

As a teen girl, I long for the the endless love that Nathan and Haley have for each other. Haley had the ability to turn Nathan's cold heart, into one of love, and he let her. They have survived being states away on concert tours and at basketball camps, yet always find their way back to each other. Always and forever.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
