Many people know and love the classic romantic comedy that is "She's the Man." It is a timeless tale of a teenage girl that pretends to be her brother so she can play soccer, but ends up falling in love with her new roommate, so practically just a basic high school experience. It is the greatest movie ever made and I have irrefutable proof to back me up.
1. Playing the main character, Viola, is the one and only Amanda Bynes.
Pre-schizophrenia Bynes is any teenage girl's role model. Starring in movies like "Sydney White," "What a Girl Wants," and "Big Fat Liar," Bynes has made her mark on any 90s kid's childhood.
2. Two words: Channing Tatum, aka the literal bae.
Tatum is able to make any movie 10 times better, so getting cast as the leading man in an already great movie just adds to the wonder that is "She's the Man." Just look at this beautiful human specimen.
3. "She's the Man" is based on the Shakespearean play, "Twelfth Night."
As any high school English teacher would agree, anything based on Shakespeare will be pure cinematic or literary gold.
4. It is applicable to many real life scenarios.
Pretty much every high schooler has broken up with a terrible human being very publicly in a pizza parlor, followed by a standing ovation and immediate acceptance into the 'it' crowd.
5. Channing Tatum. Just look at Channing Tatum.
6. This movie has so many quotes that are able to lighten up any situation.
After all, what better way to let a guy down than to say, "What, are you hitting on me? Girls with asses like mine don't talk to boys with faces like yours." I, personally, have used this one on multiple occasions and it has always elicited a laugh.
7. Whenever you are in a bad mood or just really bored, "She's the Man" is full of so many great one-liners that never fail to evoke a chuckle.
8. The characters are incredibly relatable.
If you say you have never used some of Viola's charming sass or been as good of a lab partner as Eunice, you are lying to yourself and everyone else.
9. Once again, JUST LOOK AT CHANNING TATUM.
You have seen all of the proof of the greatness that is "She's the Man," so if you have not seen it, go watch it now, and if you have, still go watch it again. You're welcome.
