Most people cringe at the thought of country music. People either complain that it is "too banjo-y" (whatever that means) or all the songs are the same. One, not all country songs are revolved around a banjo and two, no, not all country songs are about the same thing. I say as long as you have Carrie Underwood and Tim Migraw what could be better?
1. There is a song for every mood of every day
I could dance around to a song like House Party by Sam Hunt, I could get pumped and plan revenge on my ex by listening to Miranda Lambert, or if I wanna get into my emotions, I'll turn on Temporary Home by Carrie Underwood.
2. There is no better summer playlist
Country music describes summer better than anything else. We sing it loud and 'All Summer Long" - Kid Rock. Tan lines, the beach, sleeping in, drinking, dancing, and hanging with friends and family. It is always a good time when you're getting your "sun daze on" -Florida Georgia Line
3. You can't help but to sing along and dance to it
Even if you are doing it to make fun of you're still singing and dancing; you may just be making a fool of yourself. You know you like it, we can see that you actually are enjoying the song; you just don't want to admit it.
You know that song Body Like a Backroad? Yeah, the one by Sam Hunt that everyone is in LOVE with! Sam Hunt is a country artist...SURPRISE!
4. The songs can teach a lesson
Always Stay Humble and Kind -Tim Migraw (even if you do not like other people's taste in music)
God Bless the Broken Road -Rascal Flatts
Don't Blink - Kenny Chesney
5. When country music brings Jesus into the equation. . .
Country artists are bringing church up in your car. Something in the Water by Carrie Underwood (Carrie has several) New Again by Sarah Evans and Brad Paisley. I Saw God Today by George Strait. Three Wooden Crosses by Randy Travis. Need I say more? Just Google 'em, you'll find a lot more.
6. Oldies will always be goodies
I still go back and listen to older country songs and will back in love with them.I can't say that about most pop music...(besides Backstreet Boys; they will never die in my book)
7. Country boys
The accent, the tans, and the boots. Need I say more?
8. America loving
Country music is all about freedom and that red, white, and blue. Proud to be an American by Lee Greenwood. Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue by Toby Keith.
9. It isn't liked by everyone
I like that not everyone is obsessed with country like everyone is obsessed with Miley Cyrus. It makes me different. I love to jam in my car and dance like a goof in my room and at concerts. If you don't then that's okay I will just keep on dancing.
Yes, lots of country songs can be about trucks, beer, and girls, but that is all people focus on. At the end of the day country is about the heart and family. Anyone is welcome to country family, but if you do not want to join, then we'll be here singing about our Chicken Fried (Zac Brown Band) and our Big Green Tractors (Jason Alden) and God, Your Mama, and Me (Florida Georgia Line Ft. The Backstreet Boys).
