It took me a while to finally binge-watch this show on Netflix, but as soon as I did I was hooked. I soon told everyone I knew about it and got them to watch it too. When I first heard about the revival of the series, I patiently waited for a trailer to be released and once it was, I am not ashamed to say that I replayed it dozens of times. So, in honor of "Prison Break" returning to television in 2017, I thought I would share some reasons why it is hands-down one of the best shows of all time:

1. It's like one long movie.

This show puts the binge in binge-worthy. Each episode leads directly in to the next and you'll never be able to find a place good enough to stop. Someone might have to physically pull you away.

2. It's educational (in the sense that you feel prepared to break out of a prison if need be).

After watching this show, I now feel that I am equipped with the skill set needed to break out of a prison, hide from the police, run away to Mexico, and how to survive in prison (if it ever came to that). I've found myself saying "I've watched Prison Break, I can hot-wire a car (Thanks Sucre)." Now I'm not saying I would ever need to now how to do these things, but ya know, it's good to know.

3. It makes you feel sympathy for the criminals on the show.

They may have committed some terrible crimes, but their backstories will have you feeling for each of them.

4. Michael Scofield is one of the smartest characters on TV.

Michael will impress you more and more each episode. And just when you thought he ran out of ideas, he thinks of more. And that whole tattoo thing? Who thinks of that?!

5. It will make you feel a whirlwind of emotions.

This show will have you laughing, crying, biting your nails and yelling at your TV all within the same episode.

6. You can watch it over and over again.

The best shows are shows you can watch over and over again and they'll never get old. It's almost a show that you need to watch again to pick up on certain things you missed before.

7. It will have you hating a character one minute then rooting for them the next.

Yes, I'm talking about T-Bag, don't tell me you haven't felt bad for him at one point. And Mahone, don't get me started on how much I hated him in the beginning and how much I was rooting for him at the end.

8. It is full of plot twists.

Just when you thought you had it all figured out, the show will throw a curveball at you.

9. There's nothing like it on TV.

I can honestly say there's nothing like it on TV. You have a crime show, action, drama, romance, some comedy, complex characters and an amazing story line. It's honestly one of a kind.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
