Governors Ball Music Festival, also known as, Gov Ball, is a music festival at Randall's Island, New York City that is held in June. Everyone around the country but especially East Coasters knows all the hype about Gov Ball. This year, Gov Ball will be held June 3 to June 5. Gov Ball has the best food, artists and fun you can add to your summer adventures. Here are nine reasons you should check out this off-the-charts music festival.

1. It is not only one but three days!

Gov Ball is usually held for three days which means triple the entertainment and triple the craziness!

2. The best food.

It is not just a concert, but it is also a food festival! Everyone's two favorite things, food and music. Some food vendors include the ever-so-famous Momofuku Milk Bar, 16 Handles, Candy Rox etc.

3. Your favorite artist.

Some of the performers include Elle King, Joey Bada$$, The Killers and Mac Miller.

4. The coolest merch.

Check it out their merchandise!

5. The craziest crowd.

The crowd goes insane at Gov Ball which makes it that much more fun.

6. You get to re-wear your Coachella apparel.

The clothing vibe at Gov Ball is much like Coachella. So save your flowered headbands and fringe tops from April!

7. Activities all day.

Gov Ball has a number of activities you can do throughout the day which include Soberball, Lawn Games, Photo/Gif booths and even a flower crown booth!

8. It is relatively cheap.

If you are a big time raver, you know festivals are not cheap. Compared to Coachella and other hit music festivals, Gov Ball is relatively cheap.

9. The Headliner.

Kanye West is the 2016 Headliner at Gov Ball. Kanye is one of the most famous musicians/rappers of our time. Who would not want to see Kanye live?!

If this does not make you want to go to Gov Ball you are crazy! Buy your tickets now before they get sold out!

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
