9 Reasons To Be Excited For Fall

I don't know about you, but I saw Halloween decorations in the store last weekend, so I am in full on fall mode. We all know August is like the Thursday of the year, and arguably one of the best times of year- fall- is fast approaching. This means the food we eat, the clothes we wear and the environment we live in are all changing. Here's some things to get excited about.

1) Pumpkin Everything

Whether you're basic like me or just a general lover of pumpkin, the season of pumpkin everything is approaching. Pumpkin donuts, PSL (Pumpkin Spice Lattes for those of you who don't speak sorority), and actual pumpkins are soon going to be everywhere. There's just something about seeing pumpkins outside grocery stores that gets me pumped.

2) Halloween Food

Yes, Halloween food. I'm talking orange Halloween Oreos (we all know they're the best), those Pillsbury sugar cookies with ghosts on them, and Pumpkin Reese's to name a few. And of course the loads of candy EVERYWHERE.

3) Football

Ahhh yes, the most exciting sports season of the year. Chances are, even if you aren't really into "sportsball," you at least watch the Super Bowl, and that's more than I can say for most sports. There's nothing quite like watching a bunch of grown men run full speed and hit each other.

4) THE CLOTHES

I.e. leggings, sweatshirts, Uggs, FLANNELS. Fall is one big excuse to go out looking super baggy but it's acceptable because it's fall and oversized sweaters and flannels are "trendy." Catch me in Uggs the first day it's under 65 degrees.

5) The Weather

It's so nice to walk outside and not walk into a wall of moisture. The air is just crisper and easier to breathe in the fall. I will not miss those 100 degree days. And not to mention the leaves changing, going outside is like walking into a picture perfect painting.

6) Bonfires

There's nothing quite like sitting around a fire with your best friends and then going home smelling like smoke; I'd wear that as perfume. But the No. 1 reason bonfires are the best: s'mores.

7) Halloween

Debatably the best holiday of the year, who doesn't like to dress as whatever they want and then walk around getting free candy. I don't care if I'm "too old" to trick-or-treat, I'm never too old for free candy. Except that one house that gives out apples, you're the bane of my existence

8) Thanksgiving

Food, food, food, food, food. I feel like all the meals leading up to Thanksgiving are just practice. Turkey, stuffing, POTATOES, pie, pie, and more pie, ugh my mouth is watering just thinking about it. And obviously giving thanks for how blessed we are is pretty cool too.

9) Haunted Houses/ Hayrides

This. I LIVE for this. It's nice to have a good adrenaline rush knowing nothing can go wrong. Exploring a dark rickety house with clowns and ghouls jumping out at you at every corner is an experience like no other. And who doesn't dream about riding a tractor with a crazy person almost hitting you with a chainsaw?? Dreams.

I've never been so excited for fall in my life. I am completely over sweating every time I walk outside. Lucky for me, and those like me, fall is a cool 24 days away. Slow down and smell the flowers, because soon they'll be covered in leaves!

The Unwritten Rules Of "Talking"

What is "talking?" How does one "talk?"

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.

What's up Asshat,

I've composed a list of things that I wish upon you, and they're harsh and cruel. These things are things that I wouldn't wish upon my worst of enemies, not even that Starbuck's barista who always screws up my order, not even him. You fall into a whole other category of hate. You surpass Starbucks barista. Congratulations, I'm actually a pretty nice person, making you worthy of every single bit of torture I wish upon you. What are these things I wish upon you you might ask?
