Your girls are the only people willing to compliment you on your most awful outfits, comfort you when you cry about stupid things and push you to actually go to the gym. They'll remember your birthday and invite you out. You can rest in comfort knowing they will love you no matter how many times you screw up.

1. Complaining

None of you like that sorority girl who talks too loud. Nobody else knows more about the ex who broke your heart or your old best friend who ruined your life, even though they have never met them. It's probably scientifically proven that complaining together strengthens relationships between females.

2. Shopping

Whether it be online shopping or actually heading to the mall, nothing can truly beat the glorious feeling of finding a better sale than your girl.

3. Lazy Days

Who else is going to nap with you for four hours on Valentine's Day, wear disgusting sweats with you, and watch Netflix for days at a time? Lazy days alone are nice but when they're with your friends it's a lot more fun to be gross.

4. Dinner

Girls know what other girls like to eat. It's a fact. Your girls will hit you up with the best meals possible. Never face the wrath of a girl without a good dinner.

5. Snacks

Usually, the cravings hit at around midnight or later. Whether it be calzones, cookies, goldfish, or pizza-girlfriends always got your snacking back at every hour of the day.

6. Homework

Lucky for me, all of my best friends are also in the College of Agriculture so we have a lot of the same classes. They're also smarter than me. If I don't fail chemistry, it will be because of them.

7. The Look

When you're talking to that boy who you both think might possibly be gay but he hasn't come out of the closet yet and he says something really gay, you can't just comment on it out loud. Instead, you give one another a 'look' that totally speaks for itself. The look can also come out in situations when one of you says something super dumb or when someone says something that reminds you two of a conversation you have had in the last three to five days.

8. Talking

You know everything about each other's pets, love lives, and work schedule. You can ask them anything about their personal lives without the fear of making the conversation awkward. You can talk to your girls all night long about anything and everything in the whole world and do it all over again tomorrow without getting bored.

9. Boys Suck

Boys are mean and rude and useless and play with your feelings. We don't mess with boys.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
