Well ladies and gentlemen, the beautiful, cozy season we’ve all been waiting for is finally here! Summer is great, don't get me wrong, but nothing compares to walking outside on a cool day with a big sweater on and seeing sunset colored leaves covering every inch of the grass. So if you really want to get into the fall spirit, here’s a list of a few fun “must do’s” for this season.
1. Cider Mill
Who doesn’t love a good donut and hot apple cider in 60 degree weather.
2. Pumpkin Carving
Ah a classic. Go to the pumpkin patch and pick out the biggest pumpkin you can find. Then get home and get creative!
3. A sunrise picnic
Instead of going on a picnic later in the afternoon to eat lunch, wake up early and go to the highest hill you can find. Bring some coffee, your best pals, your favorite flannel and watch the sunrise.
4. Haunted Houses
With Halloween coming up, you might as well start getting into the spirit!
5. Football games
One of the best parts about fall. Whether it be high school, college, or the NFL, football games are a MUST this season. Put on your best jersey and cheer on your favorite team!
6. A leaf pile
So cliche, but also another “must do.” Whether you’re 5, 50 or anything in between, nothing beats jumping in a huge pile of those fun yellow leaves.
7. A Drive-In movie
Not only is it the best weather for a Drive-In, but camping too! It’s not hot and sticky like it was a month ago- it’s cool enough for a camp fire to make delicious smores and hot chocolate.
9. Disney Channel movie marathon
But not just any Disney movies… the Disney Channel HALLOWEEN movies. Twitches, Halloween Town, Hocus Pocus, you know, the classics.
No matter how you spend your days this season, I hope they're filled with love and laugher! Happy Fall everybody!
