After reading all three books of Fifty Shades of Grey before the movies had come out, I had envisioned the soundtracks going a little differently. The first soundtrack hardly sounded like something that would be played within the movie, this second one, sadly, fell into that same category.

Despite this, there were still a handful of songs worthy of listening to from the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack. Here they are!

1. Pray - JRY (Feat. Rooty)

This is a smooth, sexy song that you can totally picture Christian walking into a room to or you know... a sexy scene going down in. Either way, this song not only is a song that I could listen to and picture scenes from the book, too, but it also it's just an awesome song.

2. Helium - Sia

This is just a slow, sweet song that makes you warm inside and makes you think of your significant other. Not only this but it totally sounds like something you could hear Anastasia saying.

3. They Can't Take That Away From Me - Jose James

This song just makes me want to dance. It is a sweet, jazzy song that just makes you want to put a nice dress and heels on and go out with your love.

4. I Need A Good One - The Avener (Feat - Mark Asari)

If "They Can't Take That Away From Me" isn't my favorite off this soundtrack, this is it. This song doesn't 100% fit into the storyline in my opinion, however, it is still a rocking song. I picture hot days, beach, windows down, and late night dancing with your SO when I hear this song. It's just so warm and lovely.

5. What Would It Take - Anderson East

Ooo. Yet another jazzy song. This is just beautiful and again, makes you want to get out on the dance floor and slow dance with your SO.

6. I Don't Wanna Live Forever - ZAYN & Taylor Swift

This is the first song we were given while waiting with anticipation for the movie. This song makes me think of Christian wanting Ana back after she left him in the first book. It's sexy and catchy as heck.

7. Lies In the Dark - Tove Lo

You could picture this song being played as Christian and Ana approach the "red room of pain." This is one of those songs that you could get up close and personal with you SO if it came on at a club.

8. Empty Pack of Cigarettes - Joseph Angel

This is a slow, soulful rock song. It makes you want to put on a record in a dimly lit room and dance around. I can picture this being a sort of dialogue from Christian to Ana.

9. What Is Love? - Frances

Sadly, I could not find the right video for this song. I did at first and it was taken down and every version on youtube no longer holds the original. However, I picture this song being a part of the last movie at the ending as Ana is leaving Christian more than it being in this new movie. This is just a slow song that you could put on to chill (and cry) to.

Whether you're commuting or dorming, your first year of college is a huge adjustment. The transition from living with parents to being on my own was an experience I couldn't have even imagined- both a good and a bad thing. Here's a personal archive of a few of the things I learned after going away for the first time.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.

For many undergraduates across the nation, the home stretch has begun. Only one more semester remains in our undergraduate career. Oh, the places we will go! For the majority of college seniors, this is simultaneously the best and worst year out of the past four and here’s why.

1. The classes you are taking are actually difficult.

A schedule full of easy pottery throwing and film courses is merely a myth on the average campus. With all of those prerequisites for the upper-level courses and the never-ending battle you fight each year during registration for limited class seats, senior year brings with it the ability to register for the final courses you need to fulfill your major. Yet, these are not the easy entry level courses. These are the comprehensive, end of major, capstone courses designed to apply the knowledge from all your previous courses, usually in the form of an extensive research paper or engaged learning project. The upside is you actually probably really enjoy these classes but alas there is no room for slackers here.
