1. College kids don't seem to have anything people want.
Seriously, I realized that everything I want to keep are the only things other people would want to buy.
2. I only made money through donations from my parents.
I kind of assumed this would happen, but all my money came from stuff my mom was trying to get rid of.
3. It takes FOREVER to fill out those pink garage sale signs.
And a lot of planning on which direction the arrow needs to be pointing.
4. It's legal to sell guns and ammunition.
I wasn't sure this was the case until an older woman asked if I had any for sale.
5. It's illegal to sell mattresses. (At least it is in Montana.)
"Ma'am would you be able to sell me a mattress?"
"Nope, but I have this AK-47 for sale."
6. Waking up early is a little harder than expected.
Seriously, I worked at 4:30 a.m. multiple times, but waking up at 6 am to sell clothes was worse than I thought.
7. Facebook has too many local garage sale pages.
Seriously, it threw me off a little.
8. Sometimes neighborhood kids try to steal your money.
"Is this for free? How about this? Is that your cashbox?"
9. Don't let me do math.
When I first counted the money to split according to who sold what, we were 13 dollars short. My friend pointed out that I gave her too much and then we were 7 dollars over. Long story short, I don't think I should be an accountant.
