Everyone loves a great television show and if you appreciate crime enough to be interested in it but to not do it, then you love watching television shows about crime. They can be based on true events but you hope they're not. There are many out there but there are specifically nine that would pull you in and get you hooked easily.
1. White Collar
After being chased by the FBI and being arrested, a forger/thief becomes an FBI agent and begins helping them find other forgers and thieves. Its a simple concept that turns out great each season which is recommended. It may not be as interesting as the rest on this list but it’s still worth a watch.
2. NCIS
There isn't much to say about NCIS because the what the acronym stands for, Naval Criminal Investigative Service, should speak for itself but the group investigates crimes involving navy or military personal and guarantee you will always want to finish and episode.
3. Elementary
Elementary is a modern take on everyone’s favorite detective Sherlock Holmes. Some may read this and ask why BBC’s Sherlock isn't on this list and that’s because Lucy Liu is Watson in the version and it takes place in Manhattan instead of gloomy London.
4. Criminal Minds
Many based in Quantico at the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit, Criminal Minds gives us a little of everything, from arsonists to psychopaths. You watch as the unit tries to asses the situation. But with Criminal Minds, don’t expect all stories,if any, to be based in Quantico.
5. American Crime
American Crime may be the most unique show on this list as it has only two seasons, for now, and they are not related at all. Similar to American Horror Story, it has the same cast as its preceding season but with different characters. It’s stories are gripping and if you want to know how different they are, the first season deals with the murder of a war veteran and the second the rape of a male high school student. Both seasons are a must see.
6. Scandal
Anyone who is ready to forget about the current presidential election can get hooked onto Scandal and think ti themselves what’s all the fuss bout Fitzgerald Grant still has years left in office. Of course, since it takes place in our nation’s capital, its going to be much involved with government. But there is also cleaning up anyone’s res who can afford Pope & Associates.
7. Gotham
The name of the show is obvious that this series has to do with Batman, but it’s main protagonist is James Gordon before he was commissioner of the GCPD. It feels like a normal crime television show and progressively adds in the villains we come to either love or hate but mostly hate.
8. How to Get Away With Murder
Headed by Viola Davis, How to Get Away With Murder is that one show you just have to watch as it comes on or at least by the time the midseason or season finale come, because it will probably be talked bout. Although the cast of lawyers is involved in working on the cases about murder, they may find their way to somehow be involved in one.
9. Law & Order: SVU
The longest running show on this list, Law & Order SVU has already lasted longer than every other Law & Order spin-off and is on the roady to lasting longer than the original Law & Order. This may be because it focuses on rape victims, minorities, children and women and while it can be said that’s not good for society, the stories are gripping and show you the reality of what happens in the criminal justice system where sexually based offenses are considered especially heinous.
Whether it's the overarching problem of the season, or each episode plot. The shows take on various crimes in different ways. Also if it wasn't apparent enough it seems like CBS and ABC are battling to see who can produce the best crime driven show. Watch the shows and decide for yourself how may be winning a battle that may not be going on.
