Instagram has become my number one social media platform. From sharing pictures of my night out to sending memes to my friends, Instagram has it all. These are some of the first Instagram accounts I followed that got me hooked to the app. They make you laugh, give you inspiration for DIYs, outfits, and overall let you enjoy the app to its fullest potential.

1. The New York Time (@nytimes)

The Instagram page of The New York Times, is full of beautiful starkly captured images with enticing short descriptions of the story, or person, or event. The page curates beautiful stories that catch your attention, no doubt.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.
