9 Experiences You Have When Eeyore Is Your Spirit Animal

"I might have known," said Eeyore. "After all, one can't complain. I have my friends. Somebody spoke to me only yesterday. And was it last week or the week before that Rabbit bumped into me and said 'Bother!'. The social Round. Always something going on."

Everyone has their down days, but then their are those who can relate to Eeyore more times than not. Some, much like myself, may even call him their spirit animal. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but here are 9 experiences you may encounter while Eeyore-ing.

1. Getting asked "Why are you so sad?" on the regular.

Guys, that is just my face. I am not sad. I am not tired. It's just how my face looks when I am sitting here.

2. Being in and getting out of a slump is sometimes a daily cycle.

Hey, lets be real, everyone has those moments where it is simply easier to just be grumpy and mope than it is to be happy. Sometimes you go from one to the other and back again within the same day. And Eeyore assures me that it is okay!

3. Always appreciating the "little" things in life that aren't so little.

This picture couldn't sum up my life any more perfectly! Whether it is a good book, a cold can of coke, or just sitting in my hammock outside. The little things and the little moments tend to take up the biggest part of my heart.

4. Going out sometimes= anxiety.

Being an introvert with the hopes of becoming an extrovert can be very conflicting. Being invited to go along with friends sounds great when you're asked, but the longer you sit and think about it, staying at home, drinking wine, and watching Hulu sounds a lot better.

5. Not everything is Sunshine and roses!

Have you ever sat and listened to someone talk and just wanted to smack them because they were way too enthusiastic about something completely mediocre? Yeah, me too. It is not necessary to be enthused with everything or everyone you meet- sometimes shit just flat out sucks.

6. Saying "No" is sometimes a difficult task.

Being asked if you will do something for someone when they know that you will has to be the worst thing. You know the expect you to say yes, so then you feel obligated to do so, and when it isn't EXACTLY how they wanted it they ask if you can fix it. You and I both know it would have been easier to have told them no and let them do it, but you just CAN't.

7. Mornings... Enough said, right?

There are morning people, then there are NORMAL people. I may be known to mumble terrible things about whomever woke me up under my breath along with a mean mug, but lets be honest... who would be happy getting out of your nice warm bed? Not I.

8. The ability to care for others regardless of life circumstances.

I think that it is a talent to no matter what is going on in your life to be able to care for others. It is very true that a little consideration and thought for others makes all the difference and I think everyone should always remember that!

9. Finding the people that make you not want to stay home.

I mentioned that sometimes having anxiety about going out, But sometimes you just shut down and don't talk to/interact with anyone and it is all a part of being Eeyore at heart, but every so often you will meet your Tigger and he/she will bring out the best in you. You won't want to graze and mope, you will want to adventure and see what all is out there! Once you find this person, you need to hold them near and dear to your heart, because they will be your 'Person' for a long time if you let them.

Overall you can't really complain about being like Eeyore, yes you get grumpy, don't always want to go outside, and sometimes you even lose something that is usually attached to you, BUT you are a lovable donkey who melts the hearts of many.

We Heart It

Over the past decade, television has undergone a very crucial transition: the incorporation of female lead characters.
